Yours the GateKeeper

Excellent effort for the turn out of players for training tonight. We counted 33 at training, and still had several regular players missing.

One target has been met, the other still stands; you are all challenged for the next 4 weeks – to maintain these numbers for the next month!!

Thanks

Darren and Stuart

Men,

There will be a players meeting after training on Wednesday 16th Aug.

Please make an effort to attend, we will be outlining the coming season for the Axv.

Yours,

Darren,.,.

Just a quick note of thanks from both me and Stuart for the effort of players to turn out for training tonight.

We had 26 of us turn out for training, and if you take into account the we know of 5-6 regular players who would normally be at training most weeks away on leave or work commitments, we would have in excess of 30 players at tonights training session. Even with 26 players, this is more than most combined 1st and 2nd teams around Hampshire!

It was a great challenge to have to adapt the session to accommodate the numbers.

I am going to set you all challenge for the next 4 weeks – see if we can break the 30 players at training, and maintain these numbers for the next month!!

Thanks

Darren and Stuart

Dazzler

Just to keep you all updated on Andy Sowerby.

Andy has torn his hamstrings in his right leg. It is still extremely painful, bruised and swollen, so he is currently on crutches and will be for the rest of this week.

Hopefully Andy will have a period of one month to six weeks of gentle exercise and Physio trying to loosen it and stretch it.  At this stage we will be in a position assess his situation, with a view of rehabilitation to work on impact and fitness and of course a return to active competitive rugby.

Wishing Andy a speedy and full recovery, Dazzler

p.s. its now the time for the rest of our 2nd rows to step up to the mark!!
