Following on from last years highly successful HRFC charity match, the game is set to return on the 30th of December.

Last year Quinnies’ Crusaders ran out 36-22 winners against The Spitfire’s. This years event will take a similar shape with ex Captain V’s Current Captain, competing for a tasty piece of silverware whilst raising funds for charity (It is proposed that the funds are split between Naomi house and Clic Sargaent charities).

Once again, the concept for the day is a 1-club event, showcasing up and coming talent with club legends, played within a friendly but competitive arena. Team Captains will once again select their players remembering that each team must start with an agreed criterion of players (1 current mariner, 1 current Axv and 2 current academy).

Each team has a bench of 4 substitutes which can be selected from any of the club’s teams. Guest players (old HRFC players no longer playing at the club & friends of HRFC players) may be invited.

I need to provide a list of suitable players for this fixture with contact emails and mobile numbers, as soon as I can. Players who are interested please contact me on kinghamscott@aol.com

Based upon your comments 20th Nov 2006 @ 8:46pm, You have been cited for the henous crime of drawing attention to ones self.

Please note: This is one of the most terrible crimes that anyone can commit off of the field of play

You have 24hrs to enter a plea.

The Gate Keeper

On a glorious afternoon, the Axv proved to strong for Millbrook 2’s, and came out on top 41 : 10.

After Millbrook 1’s crying off against the Dolphins early during the week, there was a little apprehension on what sort of side Millbrook would bring a long, and fair play to them the did not stack their side with their 1st team.

Mind you the first question from Millbrook when the turned up was “how many of you 2’s have you got in your side today?”. Dazzler put that to rest when he said “none, check out the players against our web site”.

Some good attacking play was carried out, with the back division running, driving and kicking through.

Man of the match: Richard Pineo (Pinners) – good solid running from full back

This Saturday the Axv have a friendly fixture, and entertain Millbrook 2’s at home.

Timings: meet at the club 12:45-1pm, out on the pitch for warm up 1:30pm, game is due to kick off at 2:30pm.

Players to confirm their availablity to Mike Issitt, if they have not already done so.

The lads travelled up the A3 to play their fourth league game of the season.

After an opening 15 min’s where Petersfield 2’s threw everything at the lads, which saw the home side deservedly in the lead, the lads started to apply the pressure and eventually come out on top to win 22:15.

A good result, still some concerns, but the result should see the team move up the merit table.

Man of the Match: Nick Wren
