It may be late in the season but it still doesn’t mean any game will be easy. This week we see Andover travel to Hooks lane to take on the mighty Hav AXV. It will be a hard fought game but if we play like we can them we should come out with the win. Meet at 1, kick off at 2.30. DON’T BE LATE.
Team: Tank, Vin, Scott, Bruce, Spud, Will, Mike ( c ), Rich, Jon, Pete, J de B, Chris, Tony, Jack & Tom
Subs: Justin, Ash, Tom & Mikey

Ok i’ve been nagged to report the good win against winchester last weekend! I was so knackered that my memory is a bit patchy but heres my best effort.
Horrible conditions on dingle dell at home. We started off strongly, getting good ball out to the backs and were rewarded with some excellent tries including a couple from from Dickie Duke playing his first game with us. Berger saved the day filling the vacant srcum half position and did a stirling job. Stole lots of ball and generally made a right nusance of himself.
Winchester got their act together much more in the second half and we had to defend against 40 minutes of intense pick and drives and mauls from their forwards. When we did trun ball over we just kicked it aimlessly back at them to attack us all over again!
Bruce Neil was tireless in defence in only his second game with us. Will and Jaco got round the park well (until Jaco got a little twisted ankle and then proceeded to scream in the highest pitch voice i have ever heard…very funny!) But credit goes to jack and tank who battled against a big pack in the scrums and were all over the pitch in defence. Spud got a typical spud style wrap up to tunr the ball over on the very last move a metre or so out to win the game. Well done everyone!
We need to get a W over andover to stand any chance of creeping into the top 4 for the playoffs.
See you all at training

Once again the lads pulled it out of the bag, Winchester came to Hooks lane determined not to be beaten by us again. Unfortunately they met a determined Havant AXV who we’re never going to let them win. This game wasn’t the free flowing rugby we all like to try and play, mainly due to the playing conditions, and partly due to the season we’ve been having. I think we won because like against Totts we wanted it more than them.
This season can be put down to a transitional season with us losing so many players over last summer, and recruiting some players as well, not having a coaching figure to run our training sessions, and the worst luck with injuries, injuries which couldn’t be played on, but injuries that required several weeks, months out. Even last week a player had a bad injury which will keep him out for the rest of the season.
It seems early to be talking about next season but i think everything we do from now on and over the summer will help us have a better season, like we did last season when we we’re in the top half of the table, won our play off, only for the play off to be cancelled.
We will be judged on how good or bad we are as a team and individuals on next season. S o its down to the players and the coaching staff to pull our fingers out and making sure we’re ready for next season.

Been a rubbish updating,
lost to gosport anf fareham – 10- 15 ish i think
won against Tottonians 28-26
lost to Chichester 12-25ish…someone remind me!
not great really…simptomatic of the year as a whole. not enough continuity in the team so we just play as we see rather than as we practice..hopefully can sort it out at some point!
