A warm welcome to you, this is the home of the Havant Axv rugby team. We play for Havant rugby Club, and represent them in the Hampshire Senior Merit League, our first team are currently in National Division 3 South, and the Dolphin’s (2nd team) play in the Canterbury Shield.  

 

The Axv team play every week on Saturdays and we are hopefully getting sufficient numbers to get the 4th team (Barracudas) playing more regularly. Off the pitch we are a sociable unit and try to hold regular social events (every four weeks or so), either held at the club or nights out. But on the playing field we have a hard edge as you would expect from a club in the national league. 

We try and cater for all levels of ability, fitness, age and experience. Training sessions for the Axv/4th/Vets teams is held on Wednesdays evenings at the club under flood lights, Club/changing rooms are open from around 6:45pm. Training starts at 7pm and usually finishes between 8:30-9 o’clock.  

There is no pressure during training sessions for players (apart from the ones I know who are being lazy) so you can step in or out on any activity you want or are unsure of. Kit required for Wednesdays, boots, gum shield, and playing clothes (they will get muddy so don’t forget a set of cloths to go home in). We have showers etc so bring wash kit as this time of the year you will get muddy.
